Licensing is a process by which a governmental agency grants time-limited permission to a provider to practice in the health care occupation for which he or she has met standard criteria (including education, experience, and examination). One of the goals of this paper is to recommend Delaware-specific guidelines for streamlining health care credentialing processes.
